About the event
Welcome to our Summer Camp for Grown-Ups at Studio 33!
For five evenings in a row, we'll learn how to paint a masterpiece step-by-step by diving deep into the most fundamental painting skills.
Day 1 (Tue. July 22): Canvas Prep: References & Drawing
On the first day of Summer Camp, we'll learn how to take (and choose) the perfect reference photo for your painting. Then, we'll tackle how to sketch the most important areas first, focusing on lines & shapes and setting your future self up for painting success.
Day 2 (Wed. July 23): Understanding Value
There's a famous saying in the art world: "Color gets all the credit, but value does all the work." In this workshop, we'll explore the unsung hero of every painting and learn how to use values (lights and darks) to bring depth and realism to your artwork.
