Oil Painting for Beginners
Ready to tackle the basics of oil painting? Local painter and tattoo artist Lana Huang is here to teach you everything you need to know about using oil paints to create a beautiful sunset landscape. After the class, you'll go home with your own mini-set of oil paints and brushes to take home.

About the event
We are excited to welcome guest teacher Lana Huang (@puffthemagiclana) to Studio 33 to teach our very first oil painting class! We’ll learn about the properties of oil paints and how to use different tools to get the best results. We will also touch on the basics of color theory and learn to mix a multitude of colors using only a few primaries. By the end of the class, you’ll take home an oil painting of your own creation, along with your own mini-set of oil paints and tools to keep practicing at home.
CLASS INFORMATION:
All materials needed to create a landscape oil painting will be provided at the event, including paints, brushes, oil, and canvas. At the end of the class, you'll take home your painting-in-progress along with your mini-set of oil painting materials.
